Arhrospira, phycocyanin, racewayAbstract
Microalgae convert light energy into chemical
energy, producing high-value molecules. Arthrospira maxima is
rich in carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins and minerals. It
also produces phycocyanin, a protein with antioxidant and anti
inflammatory properties. The objective of this study was to
evaluate the optimal conditions for the extraction of
phycocyania produced by A. maxima grown in a raceway, using
the Response Surface methodology.
